"The City of London Police is hoping a new scheme training up casualty bureau staff to act as 'incident support officers' to take information from witnesses both at the scene of a major incident and in hospitals will prevent witness evidence being lost. Casualty bureau staff, not directly involved in emergency care, will receive and collate any information following an incident so it can be passed on to officers and concerned friends and family."
