"The increase in knife and gun crime in urban communities is due to the lack of police presence, according to new research.Street interviews, carried out by lifestyle research consultancy Tuned-In, polled the views of 355 young people aged 16 to 24 living in urban areas - some of the most difficult to reach individuals yet those most acutely affected by violent crime in towns and cities - to assess their views on and experiences of an issue that is crossing over into the mainstream."
