"THE MIDDLE East met Thurnscoe East when visitors from the 'Pearl of the Gulf' came to the Dearne Valley.
Five senior police officers from Dubai were given a whistle-stop tour of the Dearne, as part of a Home Office factfinding mission.One of the men from the Middle East's aims was to discover how neighbourhood policing worked and they were shown around estates such as the Reema Estate and Brunswick Street in Thurnscoe by members of the Dearne Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT)."
