"Peter Fahy, ACPO lead on workforce development, said he could not imagine his children wanting to join the police service because these kind of 'strange practices'. The chief constable of Cheshire Contabulary told the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Developmet police forum conference in Buckinghamshire last week: 'I look at some young staff and they think in a different way; they have a different attitude to things and use information in a different way."
