Women's 'bump cap' hats not fit for public disorder purpose

"Hundreds of women on the front line at West Midlands Police could be at risk because their police hats provide poor protection. West Midlands Police Federation has complained that women are put at risk by inferior helmets which are not designed to personal protective equipment (PPE) standards - unlike the male custodian helmet."
