"EASTERN European workers are being encouraged to fill higher-skilled jobs across the North-west in a bid to boost the economy. Up to 2,000 foreign nationals arrive ever year in Bolton to work, including hundreds from countries such as Poland, Lithuania and Hungary, who often work as kitchen hands, factory workers and cleaners. Business analysts believe foreign workers could be worth billions to the North-west economy. But this influx of immigrants has put pressure on services."
