"Inside a Boise home, women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction can get the help they need through SHIP's [Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships] first therapeutic community available to women and women with children. "We bring them in. We have a highly structured program. They develop a routine in a daily life that puts their recovery first," said Melanie Curtis, SHIP's Executive Director. "Not only do the women get a place to live, but also job assistance, therapy and counseling. They learn how to live life without alcohol or drugs, something they haven't done for many years"."
