"Mrs Evans-Bailey, whose daughter Kendra died in hospital the day after she was shot – a case of a bullet meant for someone else, according to police – is at the centre of a group of angry voices outraged over a court decision that has opened the way for Washington's handgun ban to be lifted. An appeals court in the nation's capital ruled that the ban was unconstitutional.
The court's decision, which will now likely go before the US Supreme Court, has been condemned by a broad coalition of politicians, police and legal experts. But perhaps the most powerful voices belong to those parents who have lost children to shootings."
