"POLICE chiefs have launched a campaign to crack down on one of east London’s fastest growing crimes – petrol theft.
Thousands of pounds worth of petrol is stolen each month by drivers who leave forecourts without paying.
Waltham Forest Police warned this week they have installed automated number plate readers to catch people who fill up with fuel and then speed off."
