"US scientists have developed a diagnostic 3D ultrasound finger technology they say could be used for biometric identification.
The University of Michigan researchers said the technology is based on matching paired images using internal fingerprint structures that would be difficult to fake, thereby offering the possibility of a unique automated fingerprint identification system."
