"For 100 years, the Probation Service has done one of the hardest jobs in the legal world. A nationwide service dedicated to putting offenders back on the straight and narrow and keeping them there celebrates its centenary this year. In West Yorkshire, the Probation Service will stage its own exhibition of historic photo-graphs, records, personal memories and anecdotes of past officers. Current and retired officers have been invited to share memories, to be recorded in a book."
