"A new report by Dr Ataullah Siddiqui on the state of Islamic studies in British universities shows that this branch of our education system is in serious need of surgery. Dr Siddiqui warns that many courses focus too narrowly on the Middle East and fail to reflect the reality of modern Muslim life in Britain."
