"Northern Territory crime statistics for this year's first quarter show a 25 per cent jump in the number of assaults in Darwin, compared to the same time a year ago.
But it is a drop of 16 per cent from the quarter to December, and Justice Minister Chris Burns says that is not just a seasonal trend."
