"For 4 weeks in November and December 2007 the 5 agencies which make up the Inter-Agency Partnership on Asylum Support asked their One Stop Services to record the proportion of the people who use their services who are destitute. They also recorded whether those people have an outstanding asylum claim and whether they have claimed asylum since the introduction of the New Asylum Model. The results of this simple monitoring exercise are explained in this paper."
