An Imam at HMP The Mount, Hertfordshire, has claimed the top prize at the Justice Awards 2007. Mohamed El Sharkawy, after winning the award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Working with Offenders' for his work developing an innovative offending behaviour course, saw off stiff competition to also claim overall top prize – the Justice Shield. Mohamed used his knowledge of Islam, Christianity and Judaism to develop a course appropriate to people of all faiths, or those with none."
